Side panel

TabOasis also ships as a Chrome side panel: the same Browse, Quick Add and Settings tabs as the popup, in a narrow column docked to the side of the window. Unlike the popup, it does not close when you click the page, so it survives moving between tabs.

The TabOasis toolbar icon always opens the popup — the extension never takes the icon over for the panel. Open the panel through Chrome’s own side-panel control, which lists every extension offering one, and pick TabOasis.

Inside the panel, Close sidebar (the panel icon at the top right) closes it again.

Everything the popup has, laid out for a narrower column:

  • Profile picker in the header, plus the light/dark toggle and Open full page.
  • Browse — the same Column / Type / Search / tag filters.
  • Quick Add — the same four item types, Use this for the current tab and Use all tabs for a group.
  • Settings — the full settings list, opening on Preferences.

The footer shows the active profile and its item count, exactly as the popup does.

They are the same three tabs against the same data, so it is only a question of how long you need it open.
