Focus
Focus takes over the whole tab. The board, the header and the columns are gone; what is left is a clock, a timer, and a strip of icons down the left edge.
The sidebar
Section titled “The sidebar”| Icon | Panel |
|---|---|
| Gear | Settings — timer durations, auto-start, weekly goal |
| Picture | Backgrounds |
| Bar chart | Analytics |
| Speaker | Sounds |
| Music note | Music |
| Sticky note | Notes |
Each opens as a panel over the background. Clicking the same icon again closes it. Whatever is playing keeps playing while you switch panels.
At the bottom of the strip: Fullscreen, which hides the browser’s own chrome too, and Exit Focus Mode.
Getting out
Section titled “Getting out”Exit Focus Mode returns you to the view you were in when you entered — Kanban if you came from Kanban, Widgets if you came from Widgets — and drops out of browser fullscreen on the way, so the ordinary board is never left stuck full-screen.
The Spotlight command Exit Focus Mode does exactly the same. Shift + V also gets you out, but it moves to the next view in your list rather than back to the one you came from.
The timer in the middle
Section titled “The timer in the middle”Above the timer is a two-way switch: Pomodoro or Stopwatch. Pomodoro draws a ring that empties as the session runs, with reset, start/pause and skip under it and one dot per session in the current cycle. It is the same timer as the pill on the board and the widget in Widgets view — see Pomodoro.
The pomodoro keeps running while the Stopwatch tab is showing, so switching to time something else does not lose the session you had going.
