Backgrounds

The picture icon in Focus view’s sidebar opens Backgrounds. Whatever you pick crossfades in behind everything, under a dark overlay that keeps the clock and timer readable on any image.

What is there already

• None (Gradient) at the top — no photo, just the plain gradient.
• 15 photographs: Mountains, Beach, Forest, Northern Lights, Night Sky, Mountain Lake, Misty Valley, Foggy Pines, Sunlit Peaks, Yosemite, Alpine Sunset, Forest Lake, Waterfall, Golden Field and Milky Way.
• 10 gradients under their own heading: Sunset, Violet Dusk, Deep Sea, Forest Mist, Midnight, Azure, Peach, Cosmic, Rose and Slate.

Your own image

Upload Image at the bottom takes any image file. Before it is saved you get Position your background, where you can zoom and drag to choose the part that matters — Focus view is a wide, short frame and a portrait photo will otherwise be cropped for you.

Uploaded images are stored in your browser, not on a server. Your own images — and your own gradients — have a remove button; the built-in ones do not.

Your own gradient

Create gradient opens a small builder: an Angle slider and a list of colour stops, with Add color and a remove button on each. It previews as you change it; Save gradient puts it in the Gradients row alongside the others.
