Free vs Pro
The free plan is a whole bookmark manager, not a trial. Nothing expires, nothing is capped by count, and you are never asked for a card.

Pro is sold three ways — monthly, yearly, or a one-off lifetime licence. All three unlock the same list.
What the server actually enforces
Section titled “What the server actually enforces”This is worth saying plainly, because the honest answer is narrower than the table above suggests.
Cloud sync is the only Pro feature checked by the TabOasis server. Every request to upload or download your board is rejected without an active licence, and there is nothing the extension can do about that.
Everything else is enforced by the extension, in your browser. Themes, view modes, AI actions and the profile count are decided by a licence flag cached in the browser’s own storage. Someone determined enough could edit that flag and turn Calendar view on without paying.
That is a deliberate trade-off rather than an oversight — locking a colour palette behind a network round trip would make the extension slower and worse offline for the people who did pay. It is written down here because a page that implied otherwise would simply be wrong.
Three devices
Section titled “Three devices”A licence covers three browsers running the extension at once. Signing in from a fourth does not fail; it signs the oldest of the three out. That browser is back on the free plan until it signs in again.
Signing in to the web dashboard does not use one of the three. You can see both lists — extension devices and dashboard sessions — and end any of them from Devices & sessions on the dashboard.
When a subscription ends
Section titled “When a subscription ends”Nothing you made is deleted or hidden.
- If the renewal is merely late — your licence is still marked active and only the expiry date has passed — sync keeps working for three more days, so a webhook running behind does not lock you out mid-week.
- A failed payment gets exactly the same three days. When Stripe reports the charge failed, the licence is marked past due, and past due keeps sync working until three days after the period you had already paid for ends. Stripe retries the card during that window; if it goes through, nothing ever stops. You will get a Payment failed notice — fix the card under Billing on the dashboard and Pro carries on as soon as Stripe confirms.
- Past those three days, either way, sync stops on the next upload or download and the extension drops back to Free.
- Once sync stops, the board itself carries on exactly as before, and you can still export everything to JSON or Markdown.
- Whether sync is working or not, you can always see what the server is storing for you and delete it — see What we store and why.
- If you were in Calendar or Focus view, the board falls back to Kanban. A non-Blue colour theme falls back to Blue.
- Profiles beyond the first are not deleted. You can still switch to them, edit them and export them — you just cannot create an eleventh, or a second one on Free.
