Stats and habits

TabOasis counts two different things, in two different places. They are unrelated and it is worth knowing which is which.

The bar-chart icon in Focus view opens Analytics, which summarises your completed Pomodoro sessions. A Week / Month toggle at the top sets the range for everything below it.

  • Sessions, Total Focus, Avg Session and Streak — four cards across the top.
  • Activity — a heatmap of the last 26 weeks, one square per day, darker for more minutes.
  • Weekly Goal — minutes done against the Focus Goal you set in Focus view’s Settings panel, with the percentage underneath.
  • Focus by Day of Week and Peak Hours — two bar charts.
  • Insights — your most productive day, your peak hour, and this week against last week.
  • Clear Analytics Data at the bottom throws the session history away.

Only work sessions you let run to zero are counted. Skipped sessions and stopwatch runs are not — see Pomodoro. A session is credited to the hour and day it finished, so leaving a tab closed over a session boundary does not smear it across the wrong day.

With no sessions yet, the panel says so rather than drawing empty charts.

Habits are a property of a task on the board, and have nothing to do with Focus view.

Right-click any task → Mark as habit. Its checkbox stops meaning “done” and starts meaning “done today”: it clears at midnight, and each consecutive day builds a streak, shown as a number next to a flame.

Where they show up:

  • On the board, as an ordinary card with the streak on it.
  • The Habit Tracker widget in Widgets view — every habit at once, with its last seven days as a row of squares.
  • Calendar view, if the task also has a due date. There you can tick a habit for a past date, which is the only way to fill in a day you forgot.

A habit without a due date never appears in the calendar. It is still tracked everywhere else.
