Settings
The gear icon in the board header opens Settings & Analytics, with a Settings tab and an Analytics tab. Settings has eleven sections down the left; on a narrow surface — the popup and the side panel — the same eleven become a drill-down list that opens on Preferences.
| Section | Holds |
|---|---|
| License | Your plan and its status, Manage Billing, Dashboard, and the upgrade buttons when you are on Free |
| Appearance | Font, font weight, language, colour theme |
| Preferences | The seven board switches, plus which views are enabled |
| Notifications | The master switch and seven categories |
| Pomodoro Timer | The four timer values and the completion sound |
| Data Management | Export, import, Chrome bookmark import, the usage-statistics toggle and Report a bug |
| Cloud Sync | Server Sync and Chrome Sync |
| AI Assistant | Provider, key, model, token limits and the search index |
| Tags | Create, rename, recolour and delete tags |
| Archive | Restore or permanently delete archived items and columns |
| Bookmark Health | Scan for broken links and duplicates (Pro) |
Appearance
Section titled “Appearance”| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Font Family | Default, Nunito, Sans, Poppins, Opensans, Bricolage, Recursive | Nunito |
| Font Weight | Light (300), Normal (400), Medium (500), Semibold (600), Bold (700) | Medium (500) |
| Language | English, Tiếng Việt | English |
| Color Theme | 15 themes — see Themes | Blue |
Default for the font means your system’s own interface font rather than a web font.
Light and dark are not here. They are the sun/moon button in the header, with Light, Dark and System, and they are independent of the colour theme — every theme works in both.
Preferences
Section titled “Preferences”Seven switches, in this order:
| Setting | Default | Does |
|---|---|---|
| Open links in new tab | Off | Whether clicking a bookmark replaces this tab or opens another |
| Show action bar | On | The row of buttons under a column title. Turning it off also hides the only control that creates a folder |
| Show weather in header | On | The weather chip in the board header — not the Widgets dashboard’s weather panel, which is always shown |
| Show Pomodoro timer | On | The Pomodoro control in the header |
| Show tag filter | On | The Tags filter pill at the bottom right of the board. It only appears once at least one tag exists |
| Show navigation tree button | On | The button that opens the column-and-folder tree |
| Spotlight search on web pages | Off — Pro | Lets Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + Space open Spotlight on an ordinary website |
Below them, Enabled View Modes: a switch each for Kanban, Widgets, Calendar and Focus. All four are on by default. Two rules apply — you cannot switch off your last remaining view, and you cannot switch on one your plan has locked, which is why Calendar and Focus carry a Pro badge on Free. Turning a view off also takes it out of the Shift + V cycle.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Enable notifications is the master switch, on by default. Under it, seven categories, all on by default:
Item actions (add, edit, delete) · AI operations · Profile & sync · Task reminders · Errors · Bulk actions · Health check
These control the small toasts in the corner. Task reminders also controls the operating-system notification a due task raises, which is the one that reaches you with no TabOasis tab open.
Pomodoro Timer
Section titled “Pomodoro Timer”| Setting | Range | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Work (min) | 1–120 | 25 |
| Short Break (min) | 1–60 | 5 |
| Long Break (min) | 1–60 | 15 |
| Sessions before long break | 1–10 | 4 |
| Play sound on completion | on/off | On |
Focus view has its own panel over the same values, so a change in either place shows up in both. It exposes three more that this panel does not — auto-start break, auto-start focus, and a weekly focus goal — and its lowest sessions before long break is 2 rather than 1. See Pomodoro.
What is not in Settings
Section titled “What is not in Settings”A few things people look for here and will not find:
- Which view you are in. That is the view switcher in the header, or Shift + V.
- Whether the navigation tree is open. The switch here controls whether its button exists; the tree’s own state is the button.
- Anything per-profile. Every setting on this page is one shared set across every profile you have.
- A password change or reset. There is no such control in the extension. See Troubleshooting.
Settings are carried by Server Sync, so a Download brings the other device’s preferences with it. An Export JSON carries only your Pomodoro values, not the rest of this page.
