Sticky notes
Sticky notes live on the Focus screen and nowhere else. They are for the things you want in front of you while you work — today’s three tasks, a phone number, a half-formed idea — not for anything you would file on the board.
They are a different thing from a Note card, which belongs to a column and shows up in search. A sticky note does neither.
Making and moving one
Section titled “Making and moving one”The sticky-note icon in the sidebar opens Sticky Notes → Add Note. A yellow note appears on the screen.
- Move it by dragging its top bar. It cannot be dragged fully off screen.
- Resize it from the bottom-right corner.
- Collapse it to just its title bar with the chevron, and expand it again the same way.
- Recolour it with the palette button — ten colours.
- Close removes the note. That is a delete, not a hide.
Writing in one
Section titled “Writing in one”The body is a small rich-text editor: bold, italic, strikethrough, headings,
lists, quotes and code. Typing / opens a block menu, which is what the
placeholder means by type / for blocks.
The panel doubles as an index — every note listed by title, with its colour, so you can find one you have buried behind another.
Where they are kept
Section titled “Where they are kept”In your browser, with the rest of your Focus data — the session history, your backgrounds and your playlist. They travel with an export and with cloud sync, so the same notes are waiting on your other machine.
Unlike board items, Focus data is not split per profile: switching profiles changes the board but leaves your sticky notes exactly where they were.
