Kanban
Kanban is what a new tab shows out of the box: your columns laid out left to right, each one scrolling on its own. It is the only view where you can build the board rather than just read it.
Moving things
Section titled “Moving things”- Drag a card onto another column, or onto a folder to drop it inside.
- Drag a column by the grip in its title row.
- Pin a card (right-click → Pin to top) to keep it above everything else, sorting included.
What sits on top of the board
Section titled “What sits on top of the board”| Where | Turn it off under | |
|---|---|---|
| Weather | Header, left | Preferences → Show weather in header |
| Tags filter pill | Bottom right | Preferences → Show tag filter |
| Pomodoro pill | Bottom right | Preferences → Show Pomodoro timer |
| Navigation tree | Left of the columns | Preferences → Show navigation tree button |
| The column toolbars | Under each column title | Preferences → Show action bar |
The navigation tree is worth trying once you have more columns than fit on screen: it lists your columns and folders, and clicking one scrolls the board straight to it.
Switching to another view
Section titled “Switching to another view”Three ways, all equivalent:
- The Switch view button in the header. The current view has a tick; anything your licence does not cover has a padlock.
- Shift + V, which cycles through the views you have enabled and skips the locked ones.
- Type
>in Spotlight and pick, for example, Switch to Widgets view.
If you never use a view, take it out of the menu entirely: Preferences → Enabled View Modes.
