The omnibox
TabOasis registers a keyword in Chrome’s address bar. It is the fastest route to a saved link when you are already typing a URL.
Using it
Section titled “Using it”- Click into the address bar and type
bm. - Press Space or Tab. The bar switches to Search bookmarks: and TabOasis takes over the suggestions.
- Keep typing. Up to six matches appear, each labelled with its type.
- Enter on one to go there.
What it searches
Section titled “What it searches”Items in the profile you are currently in, matching on title, body or URL. Archived items are excluded.
It is a plain substring match, not the fuzzy scoring Spotlight uses, and it stops at six results. For anything more involved, open the board and search there.
What Enter does
Section titled “What Enter does”- A bookmark — opens its URL, in this tab or a new one depending on how you pressed Enter.
- Anything without a single URL — a task, a note, or a tab group with several links — opens the TabOasis board instead, with that text already typed into Spotlight so you can act on it there.
